Primrose

2012 chestnut Trakehner mare
Bred by Sovereign Farm
Sired by Tradition, out of Prada Go by Askar AA

Primrose SF is one of the sweetest and most easy-going horses at the farm. Despite not being started under saddle until she was nine, she approached training with a calm willingness to learn, listen, and try. Her kind temperament and steady demeanor make her a standout in both personality and potential.

Pedigree & Bloodlines

Sire: Tradition *Pb*

Primrose is sired by Tradition *Pb*, a son of Butow. Tradition *Pb* had a successful eventing career up to the Intermediate level with Holly Hepp, winning 1st place at Rocking Horse Winter II Horse Trials in 2003. After a competitive career, he retired to the breeding shed, where he produced two approved stallions, Cardinali and Zaubermann. Cardinali followed in his sire's footsteps, competing successfully at the Intermediate level in Eventing.

At Sovereign Farm, we have had multiple Tradition *Pb* offspring and find them to be highly trainable, eager to please, and well-moving individuals, making them excellent partners for various disciplines.

Dam: Prada Go

Primrose's dam, Prada Go, was imported in utero and carries a prestigious pedigree. She is by Askar AA, a Polish Anglo-Arabian stallion who represented Poland in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics for Three-Day Eventing. Askar AA was approved for multiple registries, including Trakehner, Westphalian, Rhinelander, Oldenburg, and Shagya. Among his offspring is Halimey Go, an approved Trakehner stallion who successfully competed at the Advanced level.

Prada Go's sire, Maizauber, was a German elite stallion known for producing top sport horses, including the advanced-level show jumpers Bel Espace Go and Humanus, the latter competing internationally. Maizauber's dressage career reached FEI levels, and his influence extended to Grand Prix-level offspring, such as Bellinger, trained by Lauren Sprieser.

Maizauber was sired by EH Bartholdy, the 1982 Trakehner licensing Champion, whose influence on Trakehner sport horse breeding is widely recognized. His dam line traces to the historic Trakehnen Stud, originating from the Anglo-Trakehner mare Martchen, a direct descendant of the Arabian stallion Harun al Raschid-notably the sire of Kassette, a foundation mare in the breed.

Prada Go's dam, Padua Go, belongs to an exceptional maternal family. Her dam line produced elite competitors such as the Olympic eventer Peppermint III, the international dressage stallions EH Partout and Peron TSF (Team Bronze, 1996 Olympics), and numerous approved stallions.

Legacy & Potential

With a pedigree filled with international competitors and proven sport horse producers, Primrose SF is a testament to generations of athleticism, trainability, and success. Her kind nature, combined with her exceptional lineage, makes her a valuable part of our program and an exciting prospect for both riding and breeding.
